Reference 5035 is a historic model as it was the first watch to ever feature an annual calendar complication. Accounting for the different lengths of the months, a watch with an annual calendar complication only needs to be set once a year if continuously powered. Since the introduction of the 5035, Patek Philippe has produced other models with this complication and other brands have introduced it in their watches as well.
